Hi,
Just got back from 10 days on the road. We went from Anza in SoCal to Las
Vegas, then to Hurricane, Utah then to Moab, Utah, then to Flagstaff,AZ and
then home. About 1500 miles. Primary visitations were Zion National Park,
Arches National Park, Canyonlands and some off roading in Moab. The coach
ran very well. The change to Mobil 15-50 Synthetic seemed to give another 2
lbs of oil pressure from 42 to 44 on the SW mechanical gauge at 2500 RPM.
Seemed about 5 lbs higher at hot idle from 22 to 27 lbs. ???. We towed the
Tracker plus I had my Yamaha TW200 on a rear rack on the coach. A fairly
heavy load. Mileage was between 8-10 mpg. Gas in Utah was about $3.60 a
gallon but in AZ down to $3.12 in some places. The new A/C worked very well
although I had to adjust the belt in Moab. Can't say enough about the
aluminum radiator and HD fan clutch from Jim K. Amazing performance on some
pretty big hills.

I'm on the fence though about going to a lower final drive ratio. I'm able
to cruise at 65-70 at 2500 rpm with the 3:07 and if I get to a hill just
drop it into second gear. My sweet spot is about 2600 rpm for max torque. It
just pulls like a son of a gun at that rpm. Also, I'm thinking the new
Howell FI that I have in the box in my office just could become a very
expensive door stop as the Q-jet is running flawlessly even at 7,000 ft. Go
figure!!!!

Thanks,
