We wound up our visit to Sun'n'Fun yesterday and left after seeing all of
the air show performances at least once. Rain was forecast which could
have easily stranded us in "The Cow Pasture" for "the duration".

The first place we found to stop was a Sam's Club with "No Overnight
Camping" signs. So we continued another 30 miles or so to a Walmart with
no such signs.

My son reported that he seemed to have trouble with the balance on one rear
wheel, but he couldn't be sure which one and neither visual nor physical
examination identified it.

Today we made it about 50 miles before he reported that the problem was
getting worse, apparently on the right rear. In echelon formation I was
able to see the left rear hub cap in more of a blur than the others. After
another 25 miles or so it was obvious that the wheel was bouncing up and
down about an inch.

In a rest area, my HF torque wrench made quick work of putting the spare
on the ground. The tread bulge of the removed Goodyear Wrangler HT LRE was
very obvious. He was lucky it didn't blow. Turns out, he'd put new tires
on the front just before this trip because of a bulge on another of those 7
year old tires. Despite the near-original tread depth and absence of
obvious weather cracks, they're junk after very limited and gentle use.

I'll be replacing my 5 yo G-159's soon -- but I've managed to obliterate a
pretty good percentage of their tread with my wanderings.
