G'day,

I read the information on Gene's website: http://gmcmotorhome.info/BELTS.html and it's hard to tell exactly what length belts we
need because the different manufacturers use different part numbering systems. Also the width of a belt will affect how high it
rides in the pulleys which will in turn affect the length required. Below I've listed the possible candidates from V-Belt
Supply.com.

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/automotive-cogged-v-belts?dir=asc&limit=100&order=name

Their part number system is: the first two digits are the width in thirty seconds of an inch and the last three are the length in
inches.

I have used the term "candidates" because I am not sure how high these belts will ride in the pulleys so I can't be sure which one
will fit.

For a 455 GMC there are the following belt candidates:

Air Conditioning:

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/15619.html = 15/32 wide / 61.9 inches long

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/15620.html = 15/32 wide / 62.0 inches long

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/15625.html = 15/32 wide / 62.5 inches long

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/15630.html = 15/32 wide / 63.0 inches long

Alternator

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/15570.html = 15/32 wide / 57.0 inches long

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/15571.html = 15/32 wide / 57.1 inches long

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/15575.html = 15/32 wide / 57.5 inches long

Water Pump & Power Steering

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/15450.html = 15/32 wide / 45.0 inches long

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/15455.html = 15/32 wide / 45.5 inches long

For a 403 GMC there are the following belt candidates:

Air Conditioning:

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/15603.html = 15/32 wide / 60.3 inches long

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/15605.html = 15/32 wide / 60.5 inches long

Alternator

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/15570.html = 15/32 wide / 57.0 inches long

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/15571.html = 15/32 wide / 57.1 inches long

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/15575.html = 15/32 wide / 57.5 inches long

Water Pump & Power Steering:

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/15445.html = 15/32 wide / 44.5 inches long

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/15450.html = 15/32 wide / 45.0 inches long

http://www.vbeltsupply.com/ecommerce/15455.html = 15/32 wide / 45.5 inches long

More good current info!

THANKS!

Assuming Goodyear uses the same system as V-Belt Supply.com I've added some info below.

Ok, is it a 10 or 11 mm wrench that is supposed to fit over? I thought it was an 11 would fit over but barely and a 10 would not???
