Tim,

I can remember years ago (when I was a kid), there was a P-61 based out of what was then Newark Airport. Satin black finish and mean as sin looking.

Thanks for posting this. Great to go back there in my mind.

My Father worked on the electronics package on the P-61, when it was a top Secret Project being developed at the air force base in Orlando, FL. This never was discussed in the family, old habits die hard. He did donate to the museum which has the only flying example of the P-61. It is located in PA, as I recollect.
