Very interesting custom layout:

<http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=111312844404>

Find the shower.

This is the second time I have seen it listed and the price has dropped for this second listing. While there is a good chance the coach is worth close to the stating bid, I am not sure that the current market will justify it.

I have collected pictures from the ebay listing, but am having problems posting on the photo site... might be my computer. I'll try and figure it out later.

Find the shower.

Interesting....

Right in the center, between the toilet/sink - I would be curious as to how the "drainage" issue is handled if the floor is not sloped to the drain!

looks like some kind of "moveable panel" arrangement maybe, I wonder if that is how it might be handled - But seems like it would still leave a lot of standing water.

Appie,

In effect that's what you get with a switch pitch transmission, it has variable torque convertor vanes.

http://www.442.com/oldsfaq/oftsp.htm

They came in the 1966 & 1967 Toronados along with the 3.21 to 1 Planetary Gear final drive.

Bdub has the manuals posted on his website if you want more info:

http://www.bdub.net/manuals/1967_Toronado_3.21_Planetary_Final_Drive.pdf = 22mb file

http://www.bdub.net/manuals/1967_Toronado_3.21_Planetary_Final_Drive.pdf = 5mb file

love the layout - rear twins without stretching. The angles up front seem to work as well.

The shower. Unless that floor is vinyl, or teak with a million coats of poly, I don't see how that works long term. I think the center bath concept is awesome, mind you, I just don't see how those materials work. Nevermind how the entire floor of the coach does not flood when someone takes a shower.

Maybe that is why they are selling? JK

A+ on design and execution of the rest of it though. The white colonial cabinets aren't my taste, but overall colors and fabrics look like it was professionally done. If the GMC were resurrected tommorrow, I could see this layout as a possibility.

76 Birchaven - "Wicked Mistress" - New engine, trans, alum radiator, brakes, Sully airbags, fuel lines, seats, adult beverage center... those Coachmen guys were really thinking about us second hand owners by including that beverage center... Columbia, SC.

He thinks the switch pitch converter doubles each gear.  It doesn't.

Wife and I have generally preferred to mess up somebody else's shower facilities when RVing. We eventually used the shower in our boat occasionally, but preferred the roominess of the marina facilities.

Us, too Mac. We like to stay places with nice bath facilities. I once went to a basketball game in Auburn Alabama and invited a friend along. I had the rear twin Royale, at the time. I informed him that I had parked close to the bath house and that there were 2 things I didn't want him "taking" in the coach...one was a shower.

Seen that shower layout in a class B once. Lot of thinking went in it and I think there was a pan you actually plugged into the table receptacle and it that was also the drain, square curtain rod on the ceiling like the photo had.

Hey all,
After reading an eBay comment! It looks like this owner bought this coach from the late Joe Allen. Does anyone know him or the current owners. I would like to speak with them and possibly even look at the coach. I saw Florida plates on it in the pics, and am all over Florida these days. So thought I would ask.

I bet Somebody knows someone.

Thanks
