WAs that one of the places where the dump connection was only a foot from
the fresh water pipe, which was at ground level?

No Ron,
The potable and dump were effectively separated, but the dump was about a foot over the local pad surface. The electric, water and power were arranged such that you could only pick two unless you carry a lot of hose and/or cable. When I needed to dump. I had to pull the nose out to over hang the drive. This still did not get me enough elevation, but it got me an up angle that was good for dumping, but impossible for sleeping.
