Fuel lines old, hard, cracked and leaking at the ends. Tanks gotta come out and new lines put in.
Spent last Saturday trying to find cheap 5 gallon gas cans to hold the 40 gallons still in the tanks - when did they get so expensive? I bought 2 last year for $7 each. Cheapest I could find was $18 each.
Copied the setup someone had posted with their carter 4070 on the front bumper. I used the facet pump that was rigged to the aux tank and hooked it to the front fuel hard line near the engine to drain the tanks. Worked like a charm.
Decided to use some of that good daylight tonight after work to get the aux tank out. Removed the bolts at the front, would not drop at first. Poked, prodded, jacked - no dice. Then I removed the center bolt ...
Woo Hoo! Down and out:

Vent line was crushed, it wasn't in the groove. Supply line with its T for the Onan looked home grown:

Just need to get the back one out tomorrow night...
