Wish I was down there. I have only been to two conventions and my wife has not been to even one. Someday, things will work out.

Appie,
That coach belongs to Marc Hogenboom a "Dutchman" that retired to Madrid, NM with his lovely wife Puck and their two "kids" Bart,
and Lot.

I'm curious. Do people at a GMC rally go out in a caravan (with their GMC) and site see or go to a local hot spot for a day?
Not trying to stir anything up! Simply asking to learn...
I read about them doing that at Ultra Van rallies.
However, I do know they get better milage and can be easier to park.
Thanks, Tony
Tony (Ontario Canada) Marie and I are blessed to have had a 2nd chance to buy our farm. Still hoping and more importantly praying to be able to build a garage. Our 1970 Ultravan #520 has an Olds Toronado 455 in back.

Tony
There is simply no time for sight seeing with the number of activities, the
area meetings and most of all the technical seminars. There are also group
meals and usually entertainment of one form or another.
If there is a free minute or a skipped seminar, the time is usually spent
having a cold one while discussing modifications.
Any sight seeing has to be done before or after the rally...ain't no extra
time.

"Do people at a GMC rally go out in a caravan "
Tony no, but many come together and into the fairgrounds in groups.
Go to the GMCMI website, under events is the preliminary schedule. You'll see it is chock full of great tech sessions, fun games, ladies activities, many social opportunities and events. And just hangin out with friends you see only once or twice a year. Or net friends you haven't met yet.
Kim always has information on many things to see and do in the neighborhood, but most go before or after the convention. You rarely plan a cross country trip to a convention without visiting things along the way.
BTW I missed the fifth strech, The Lieder's from Minnesota. And if you really are interested, I believe there is a strech for sale.

Opps, that didn't come out right. I didn't mean one of these stretched coaches at Montgoomery was for sale. Only that there are several out there criss crossing the country and doing fine.
The for sale I was thinking about is from the net. Seems like not so long ago someone was discussing he had purchased a stretch and would be selling it after some refurb.
