Home from the show, 429 miles.  And everything was going fine, till Springfield TN when the toad blew a front tire.  I got it stopped before the wheel was ruined, tread wrapped around the fron suspension.  About a mile from the exit.  Rod's Tire in Springfiled are nice guys, had some used wheels, and a tire.  A look at the other front one, I told him I'll have 2.  $212 all up for two mounted on two wheels.  My lug wrench didn't fit. so off to O'Rielly's for a socket and breaker bar which would (13/16 thin wall deep well).  Three hours later, on the road again.  So, it was a looooong day, but the GMCV ran flawlessly on the get-by gas tank.  just at 10mpg on real gas, 8.5 on junk, both while towing.

I'm going to get a Continental Electronics logo off one of my radios and stick it on the GMC.  Both of them tolerate substantial failures and abuse and just keep on going.

I'll jack it and crib it and bail under Saturday and see what came unhung in the fuel system.  The most votes here are for a selector valve problem, so it's first.  The invoice for replacing the fuel lines isn't clear as to whether the tanks were dropped or not.  If not, down they come  while I'm at it.  The parts PB which Frank got had the lines replaced, but spliced to the ones running to the top of the tanks.  If mine's that way, correction.   If the new barrier hose goes up out of sight without splices and blows sound, they stay up.

It was a fun dog show... we had 19 BWDs in attendance.  That's a mob for us.  Plus three puppies.

Johnny,

That's a relief. Another adventure, noting that while those troubles are alarming to read, what is better is that you coped with everything Murphy could throw at you.

I am getting closer to militant about replacing hoses with metal line or teflon. OR Nylon. I have some R7 hoses that are cracked and leaking. Maybe we should put wingnuts on the fuel tank straps.

Best,

Carey
