Someone recently posted an excellent photo of a GMC's rear wheels parked
after a sharp turn. I need to use that for my Montgomery seminar to show
just how much the rear suspension arms deflect. Can anyone tell me how to
find that photo?
TIA,
Ken H.

No, that one's scary, OK, but probably abnormal too. The one I'm thinking
of had, IIRC, made a hard right turn, leaving scuff marks, and showed both
rear tires following the arc of the turn, as they normally do. Made from
the right rear quarter.
Thanks,
Ken H.

That coach has serious issues that don't reflect what Ken is talking about. The negative camber is way too much.

""Bob,
What KenH is looking for is photos of the rear wheels of a GMC forming an "X." By that I mean the top of the middle wheel is tilted
inwards (negative camber) and the top of the rear wheel is tilted outwards (positive camber).""
I can't second guess what Ken is looking for ()) but I know what a typical coach in good shape looks like when making a sharp turn in a parking manuever. The rear wheels will look surprisingly out of line but not to the extent of the coach in the picture.

No, Galen, that's not the one. Thanks anyway. The one I remember was
clearly made after a hard right turn of at least 30* on a hard surface
while moving forward, leaving the right center wheel with a lot of positive
toe and the rear with a similar amount of negative toe, some camber change
but that not too significant.
Maybe I'll have find a spot at Montgomery and make my own, but I don't
expect it to be as distorted because I have track guides on my center
wheels, preventing toe changes (or at least very significantly reducing
them). Besides which, a 23' probably does not exhibit as much change.
From Pensacola RV park enroute to Montgomery. The Doanes, Pinkertons,
Rowells, and I are here instead of at the Nicholls' because the heavy rains
made Nicholls' back yard too hazardous for "don't move on wet grass GMC's".
We did got there for a great dinner though (THANKS, Rita). We 4 will
leave here tomorrow morning, planning to RON in Lafayette, LA, where we
should find more GMC's.

Long ST Patties day but I suspect the 23 ft may be worse due to a smaller turning radius. Could be wrong if i take the time to draw it out.

Bob,
I was basing my guess on the longer lever arm of the 26's wheelbase. You
may well be right. Let me know what the drawings say. Maybe I can use the
drawings instead of photos. :-)
