The steel wheel are great for the people that are just getting into GMC motorhomes. It helps to keep the expense down until they decide to keep. Or sell. New steel rims run from $50, to $65 each. Used are around $25 each. Used. You don't have to blast them. Clean them up. And paint the new, or used rims the color you like. That's $10 at most. As for tires. You can get fairly new used tires at salvage yards for not a lot of cash. I told someone last year to do the used tire, and rim idea. He ended up with a set of 2 year old tires, and older rim for just under $400 total. Beats the $2600 for aluminum rims, and new tires for the people that are new to these GMC's. Use them for two years. Then you can sell them for about what you bought them for if you want to spend the money then for new alum rims, and tires. As for the fit on the front of the GMC. 5 minutes with a grinder solves that clearance issue on both sides. Anyone that wants some photo's of where to grind. I'll e-m
ail you the photo's. I talked to Dave Pottebaum today. The rims that he, and I got are for 1985 Chevy, and GMC 1 ton dually. You use the lug nuts from your GMC. Problem solved.
