I didn't remember doing this to get the rims on. That was 11 years ago. Very simple, quick, and safe. Time wise to grind the spot. Less than a minute for each side from what I see that I did. As to the brake pads, and rotor thickness having any effect on this. My rotors had only a few thousands under stock. As I just checked them. And had them just trued up. And according to my coach loge. I put new pads on at the same time the steel rims went on. To put a spacer on, with longer studs to me is way out of the question to do. And isn't needed. I hope to get the rim part number soon from Richard. And on that topic. Where is that part number stamped?Bob Dunahugh 78 Royale
