G'day,

I just figger'd out a way that we can determine ONCE AND FOR ALL if the wheels listed below from Southwest Wheel will fit a GMC.

We need a GMCer that lives close to:

Southwest Wheel Company
8740 John W Carpenter Freeway
Dallas, TX 75247
Toll Free: 1-800-866-3336
Local: 214-631-0200
email: sales@southwestwheel.com

To contact their sales department and ask if they have the following wheels in stock:

Part Number: 126202

http://www.southwestwheel.com/store/showproduct.aspx?ProductID=5224&SEName=126202

Part Number: 29587PKGRY21

http://www.southwestwheel.com/store/showproduct.aspx?ProductID=1835&SEName=29587pkgry21

If they have them in stock they could drive their GMC over to their store; remove a front wheel; and try them.

If neither of these wheels fit they might be able to come up with one that does!

Regards,
Rob M.

5 miles Rob.

Lots of "stuff" going on that is keeping me from Montgomery, but I will try to get over there soon. Arch installed nice spacers on the front but of course they will come off for a valid test.

$55 vs 130? Big difference? Not sure I would go for steel at 130

The 126202 is a Kelsey-Hayes wheel for 1976-2000 Chevy trucks and the 29587PKGRY21 is an Accuride wheel.

Don,

Thanks!

Appreciate the extra work you'll have to do to remove the spacers to test the wheels.

Mike,

I'd be surprised if those wheels are, in fact, different or were made by a different company; ten to one they probably come from
China! Having said that the price difference doesn't make sense!

Come to think of it I wonder if the two wheels you listed below aren't the same as the X-45329 from Allied Wheel Components that
Dave Pottebaum used.

Rob: That was the part # Hayes used when they made the wheels back in the day, but you are probably right, another company is now likely using that same old part #, especially with the price listed. Maybe Don can find out who makes that part # now when he goes to Southwest.
