As I was carrying my Lowrance xog into the house to program it, splat, on the concrete. Face is toast. My favorite gps of all time. Anyone know of a windshield mount that has a large speed readout along with altitude readout. I want to buy another one, size is not important, but must have altitude readout. They no longer produce car gps, Lowrance. Just one of those things. I have a couple of older models but they are slow to find satellites and roads are outdated. Right now I am planning to carry the laptop and use streets and trips on the way down. Hollar If you have something you can bring to the convention or know of a new unit with altitude readout. I see some used units on eBay but am not going that route for another Lowrance.
Thanks,
See y'all next week,
Dan

I use a Garmin mounted to the face of the speedometer. It doesn't block my view of the road, it's in the shade, the cord is plugged into a socket to the left of the dash.

My Magellan 7" RV GPS model will display altitude. But, not continously, you have to tap the screen for that information, and it briefly stays displayed for you to see. I do not know about large speed display. Character set is good in the GMC, especially on the large screen.
See mine in Texas, caus I'm leaving in a GMC tomorrow.

My Rand-McNally RV shows elevation when you press the "Details" button. A bar of info shows on elevation etc along the right side. I'm not sure if it times out after a bit or stays there.

Mine is the older version, not sure about the new one.

I have an altimeter that Bill Telgen put in my coach. Have no use for it. Will that help? I'll send it to Montgomery with Ken H.

Dan,

Check this out:

http://www.sygic.com/en/head-up-display?r=topmenu

You will need to buy the app first:

The app will work on an Apple device:

Thanks everyone. I have been under the weather all afternoon.
Why does this happen when you are ready to roll?
I think we have found one that will do what I want. Matt has one and can help me with it at Montgomery. Garman 2595. We bought a 7 inch today but it's too large for car. Would be fine just for the gmc.
See everyone mid week.

Oh, I thought you said attitude. Don't need a readout for that. Look at my face.

Anyhoo. Craigslist and eBay my friend. Buy what you love.
