Think about waiting 30 seconds for the thread to show up after you
clicked to read it. Now multiply that by the total number of messages in
a day, then add in the scrolling time for each message that occupied over
half a screen.
Webmail sucks if you have slow dial-up. Still sucks if you have fast
dial-up or really slow satellite.
Some of the GMC folks don't have DSL, 4g data or FIOS available, even if
they could afford it.

Those delays sound like dialup. I have had the misfortune of having to resort to dialup twice since getting addicted to broadband. Painful.

The poor bastards that have never had broadband don't know what they are missing.

Yeah, apparently most of these guys here these days have not heard that
anyone using anything other than all steel -- tread and sidewall -- tires
are endangering their coaches, themselves, and anyone else on the road
anywhere on the continent. When will they ever learn?
