Anyone beat 6 times in one afternoon?
Well got the leak fixed...and more.
Without boring everyone with all the various reasons for all the removals, the short story is this. The leak was caused by the teflon taped bolt not stopping the drip...a pretty steady drip. A heavily taped 3/8" set screw didn't either.
The final solution (I hope) was a 3/8 bolt with a O-ring under the head. This was the bottom hole. I did not run the bolt through the bracket because it did not line up and it would not allow the pump to rotate for adjustment.
During the course of all this, I was also fighting an alignment problem with the pump. Get everything installed and the belts tight and I noticed the pulley was cocked to the inside. After SEVERAL choice words and R&Rs I pulled the pulley so I could see what the heck was making it twist as it rotated. Turns out the bolt hole casting is machined for a WASHER UNDER the bracket, not just on the outside. DUH! What was happening was that as the pump was rotated to tighten, it would ride up and bind on, the non machined flat area of the casting. Putting a 1 cent washer on top of both mounting holes (top and bottom front) solved the problem.
The bright spot is that my driveway will definitely not rust under the coach. It is well lubricated.

Upon reflection this is wrong. The rear bottom bolt is in the same line as the front pivot bolt. It should line up now that the washers are under the front mounting plate and not cocking the pump in the brackets as it rotates. Don't quite know how to seal it...perhaps a stud with a O-ring under a nut then the bracket, then another nut with lockwasher.

I couldn't figure out where the big O ring went. It's a flare fitting. Shouldn't need an O ring.

I don't THINK so. Both bumps leaked from that lower bolt hole. I'll know for sure by the time we get to Texas.
