Hi All, getting ready for our trip to Montgomery I just ran into a tranny problem.
After getting from my property to the blacktop (15 min in 1st gear)the tranny works well for about 6 or 7 miles, than starts shifting back to 2nd. It wont stay in 3rd.
It will shift up to 3rd but than shifts back.
Vacuum on the modulator is about 10 inches.
Could this be caused by the governor?
Could it be the vacuum regulator that translates throttle position into required vacuum? (diesel, so no engine vacuum)
