Right after we had the cooling system serviced and all the hoses replaced and tanks removed, cleaned and sealed a plastic 'y' fitting on the heater hoses that was routed to the water heater tank broke. I didn't want to deal with that so I bought an AC/Delco heater bypass valve ('H' shaped) and spliced the hoses in a series set up.After seeing the aluminum vacuum fittings I have to ask if those plastic things were OEM. My parts book does not show them but it does show a heater SHUT-OFF valve that would require a 3-way fitting.

I know, I should have spent that money on warehouse rental and done it myself...I'm having to redo most of it anyway. Live and learn.
