We bought a 73 Canyon Lands that has what appears to be a molded plastic ceiling that is in three parts. One goes from behind the front ceiling cap to the center of the hall, then there is a dropped piece in the hall and lastly a piece from the hall to the rear cap. It is sagging and I can't see where it is attached. I am planning on taking it down since I believe the roof is leaking behind it . Has anyone seen this type of ceiling before?

Lane, our 73 Canyonlands ceilings are a fibrous paper almost like MDF, but more like card stock with an embossed texture. I think it is held in with the rivets that hold the rear ceiling plastic cap... I never took mine out, but ran power to the rear skylight when I added 2nd a/c. Sorry I really didn't answer your question....

actually these are quite loose standing in a gutter along the side (behind the plastic trim) and holded by metal strips from side to side ( may be coverd by plastic).
screw of the metal strips and the ceiling falls down, you might use them as templates for new ones
