Matt,

The link takes you to a coupon which you can print out and use to buy the jack for $82.99 as opposed to the regular price of $169.99
for an $87.00 savings.

Was this an online, or emailed coupon, or did you scan it in? Just want to make sure when i show up with a black and white version from the laser printer they don't throw me out...;^p

Talk about serendipity. I struggled yesterday with an aluminum racing jack and a small steel jack trying to get the back half up to drop the fuel tanks. Coach is half on and half off the concrete pad, so I was planning on just putting a wood ramp under the wheels off the concrete, but neither jack had the lift range or power (and i could not find the bottle jack I bought specifically for the coach). Thanks!

As long as their scanner can read the bar code I've never had a
problem. I got the same coupon in my Inside Track club mailer. This AM
in the Sunday paper they were offering the same jack for $69.99. Almost
wish I needed one.

Be careful with the aluminum HF Jacks. I had one explode while helping remove parts from a GMC Motorhome that had been stripped. They drop real fast.
Blocking and more blocking is required.

Joe,

I get coupons emailed to me incessantly; if you log on to Harbor Freight the FIRST thing that pops up is a window that asks you to
sign up for emailed coupons.

You may be correct as I just read this particular coupon and it says non transferrable.

http://www.harborfreight.com/?_UserReference=89CDCDA05517ED633849DFDF

I just logged on to Harbor Freight and did a search for floor jack. The jack I posted the coupon for came up at $89.99 so it is
possible that the coupon I posted has the lower price of $82.99 because I am a Inside Track member.

http://www.harborfreight.com/3-ton-heavy-duty-low-profile-floor-jack-with-rapid-pump-61282.html

http://www.harborfreight.com/3-ton-heavy-duty-low-profile-floor-jack-with-rapid-pump-61253.html

Bottom line: print out the pages from Harbor Freight on line showing a price of $89.99 and bring it AND the coupon for $82.99 and
see which price you get. Also if you have any discount coupons try and see if they'll let you use them on the $89.99 jacks. 20% off
89.99 is 17.99 so if they'll let you use it you'd get the jack for $72.00!

Call the store you want to visit up before you head over there.

Regards,
Rob M.

I bought the Pittsburgh 3-ton aluminum floor jack about two years ago. I think we used it during the Sullybilt bag installation on Kim's coach at Shawnee two years ago.

Don't like aluminum and don't like rapid pump racing type for what we are doing. No control and wrong mechanical advantage. I try to avoid HF though I did succumb to the 1ton engine hoist when it was sub $100. All steel for Onan R&R.

Bob,

The aluminum jack is $100 more!

I realize to a High Roller such as yourself; that's only a "little" more but to a poor retired pensioner like me that's a lot! ;-)

No, I've been meaning to order one. I was using the two in tandem, before I came to my senses and decided I needed more horsepower and and a better plan.

Blocking or jack stands are ALWAYS required!!!! Matters not it it's a Lotus 23 @ 1050 lbs or a Prevost 45. Matters not that it's a 20 ton jack on the Lotus...if 1050 lbs. falls on you, most likely DOA. I will not go under any vehicle without proper support.

But I use a 12 ton low profile bottle jack. I am NOT in a hurry so I have no need for a racing jack that needs more weight on it than I can supply to lift. Plus, the L/P bottle jack stores under the bed.

20% coupon was HF web site, 25% off was in my local paper. Tried to plug each in online. Now, local store has been known to be loose on coupons, so I will take the 25% off and try my luck on the 4 ton or the bottle jack.

Joe,

Usually the coupons you have noted below will state something along the lines of "cannot be used in conjunction with any other
coupons."

However, if you go to the HF store and the item is on sale I have found that they will take the extra 20 -25% off. I bought a ton of
oscillating tool attachments when I was back there last year, some of them were on sale and they took 20% off the total order which
came to over $300 so I got $60 off! SWEET!

Another suggestion regarding HF stores, get to know one of the managers, have a chat with him / her when you shop there, I
ga-ron-tee it will help you when you want to exchange a tool that has a problem.

Regards,
Rob M.

When I got the coach, I knew was in trouble. I had a 7000# lift and a 3000# floor jack. I bought a 3-ton HF jack and it works but I don't like it. Lifting the front in the center takes putting my weight (280#+/-) over the handle. And this one is a Rapid Pump!

The release valve is also completely devoid of finesse. It is either closed or DROPPING - NOW.

Just My quarter... (2¢ isn't what it once was)

Matt
