For all those planning to go to MI this year.
You should plan a full day or two and see the Gilmore Museum nearby.

I had the great fortune to see it last year during my first Corvair convention.
I do plan to go again and again. So much to see and take in!!
Put it on your bucket list. Who knows when they will be nearby again.

Marie and I are blessed to have had a 2nd chance to buy our farm.
Still hoping and more importantly praying to be able to build a garage.
Our 1970 Ultravan #520 has an Olds Toronado 455 in back.

Dwayne,

There are more than a few of us in Michigan that can serve as "native guides", but we will need to know expected dates.
I tried the Cascader's site, but could not find a schedule. No Promise that we will be home, but as said, there are others.

Matt, we should be in the Detroit/Chicago area in early June. IF THE
PLANETS ALIGN CORRECTLY, THE CREEK DON'T RISE, AND "STUFF DON'T HAPPEN" ,
our schedule calls for us to be there June 6. If you send me a home mailing
address on a PM I will mail you a packet containing our proposed travel
itinerary from west to east. Judy and I are hosting the eastward part of
the rolling rally, and Dwayne and Sharon Jacobson are doing the Westward
voyage. All 4 of us are doing the planning for museum visits etc. We
welcome any and all GMC ers if they are FMCA members, to act as hosts or
fellow travelers along the entire route. It is a work in progress. Steve
Southworth is working on the Museum stuff in that area as well. We welcome
all who wish to help out with campsite, overnights, food, libations, or???.
Tag along for all or part of the trip.

James,do you plan on posting an itinerary here or on the Cascades site for the trip? We'd love to join you but would like an idea of potential rally fee's, and others that might be involved. Looks like a 7000+ mile run from here.
Thanks,Hal

There is no rally fee intended. Your campground fees and fuel costs should
be enough without additional costs involved. The itinerary is quite
involved and in a state of flux probably even as we travel. If you want to
participate, send me a PM with your home address and we will mail you a
proposed itinerary as of the date we last changed it. If you attend the
Kick off rally in Oregon, that schedule is already posted on the GMC
Cascaders website. There is fees for the Kick off rally. Hope this helps.
