When I drove down to Ken Henderson's this week, before I even got out of the coach he said, "You're not going to like this."

Oil everywhere. We started wiping and investigating and pretty much narrowed it down to the front of the engine but couldn't nail it down.

It was only about a half quart low and it is a 'new' leak. The last time I drove it, there was no leaks and no puddles under the coach. But it dripped all over Ken's pit.

Drove home and it's about a half quart low so I had to resolve it. Did the talcum powder thing and saw that it was coming from somewhere above the front motor mount but couldn't tell and nothing up there can be addressed without lifting the front of the engine and pulling the motor mount and plate so out it came.

Turns out to be the front seal on the new engine, I hung the engine from the engine lift and ran it and watched the oil weap out9 &&*^%$##&. Not a huge deal but the power steering pump is leaking also and changing it is a pita!. Anyway a new seal and a new harmonic balancer will be in tomorrow morning. The old balancer had some surface issues which is what probably ate the oil seal. A new balancer is only $75ish at Advance Auto Parts...and since my son is the manager, I get to use his discount.

I've got a ton to do before we leave for GMCMI on the 18th and didn't need this. Oh well.
