Anyone have a table of resistance to temperature reading for the engine water temperature gauge? Still looking at analog to digital readouts, using Ardunio for computer.

Tom,
The several times I've tested senders & gauges I've found so much
variability in the senders' response curves that I'd be hesitant to quote
them as generic. I've got a little jig into which I can screw 6 or 7 1/8
npt senders. It has a bracket to hang it on the side of a pot, with a
little motor driven propeller to stir water in the pot, and a mounted
thermometer. With a high quality rotary switch to connect all of the
senders to an Ohmmeter, I can quickly calibrate all of them. Do you want
me to bring that gadget to Montgomery for you to take home with you? Or to
mail it to you for return there?
If you just want WAGs to get you started, I'll try to find some old logs
tomorrow.

WAGS are good. Just need something to get the software started. I could always start with 0 ohms being cold and 90 ohms being hot, but I also intend to record the data over time and perhaps, with the aid of a GPS over ground.

Tom,
Here's a chart from some years back using a VDO sender for FD temperature.
The same sender/gauge could be used for H2O also, so these should be
pretty good numbers. Plus, you get the calibration procedure already laid
out for you. :-)
Hmmm...when I went to get the file, I found some other stuff that should be
helpful, so it's all here (the second .pdf has exactly what you want):

It'll be a few minutes before it's sync'd.
