Thank you all for the replies and advice. Right now I think the rod adjustment is the best way forwards. Moving the tilt does seem to have a positive effect and I do not think it is an issue with power as I have a charged battery and I hear no solenoid clicking. FWIW, I'm in Shelter Cove CA (A bad idea to come here. The road is heinous) on my way today to Coos Bay OR.
