It seems you Aussies have not been properly taught how this is to be done neatly.  I will have to demonstrate - mimicing certain portions of the procedure of course - for you the next time we're in the same place.  Suffice to say your technique is crude and boorish and wastes paper.  Remind me when you next see me.

Mike,

You are 100% correct!

Actually you only need a single sheet of toilet paper.

Instructions below:

1) poke you're a finger through the single sheet of toilet paper
2) lean over slightly to allow access to your nether regions
3) use the finger to clean any residue from around the area where your large intestine is exposed to atmosphere
3) remove the hand with the finger used for the clean up from under your bottom
4) using your other hand wrap the single sheet of toilet paper tightly around the finger
5) slowly pull the finger out from the tightly wrapped toilet paper
6) the toilet paper will clean the finger and voila, you've done the paperwork
7) it may be necessary to use a second sheet of toilet paper to clean one's fingernails

I have noticed that the "cheap" grocery store TP is pretty much the same as the RV specific stuff.  So we just buy the cheapest
stuff we can stand to use.

But the biggest thing is big wads of any kind of TP does not break down very well. So just do not toss big wads down "the hole."
