There is an article in this issue detailing the troubleshooting of an installation on a 1968 SS 396. After reading the article a couple of times, it seems that the problems could apply to any retrofit. I could not find the article on the Hot Rod website. That doesn't mean it is not there, just that I could not find it.

Was this article about a throttle body system or a direct port system? I know some guys who have installed Holley TBI systems with zero luck. Nothing but trouble. I considered the Holley system on the 65 Mustang I owned for 39 years but after hearing their horror stories, I Decided to stay with a carb.

Been running Holley tbi for long time on gmc. Only minor problems that I took care of. Holley has great customer service. I called twice and they nailed it both times.
Running a 600 Holley on my 65 Mustang fastback. Owned it since 1970. Thought about changing it but carb works fine for it.
