Hi Jim,
Yup, the combination of the virtual keyboard on this iPad and the auto spell corrector got me on that on! For all of us who travel great distances in these 40 year old things there probably is some subliminal celebration of the dip stick as well.........grin.
JimB's guys did change the oil and said they calibrated the dip stick before we brought it back to Or from FL. The dip stick tube sticks further towards the front of the coach on the Clasco than it does on our Royale so I will recheck that when we get back. I don't recall if the valve covers are stock or after market on that one so will check that as well. That engine only has about 65,000 to 70,000 miles since the coach was new so would not expect things like valve guides, etc. it had 11,000 miles on the speedometer in the new (1994) Mac. dash when we picked it up and the registry showed about 50,000 miles on the coach when the previous owner acquired it and took it to Clasco for the restoration. It runs really well, has good power and fuel consumption is spot on for a 455 in a 26 foot coach (8.5 to 9.5).

Jerry,
Try running it a quart lower and see if the consumption goes down.
You know about the one quart hanging up in the front par of the pan.
I'm not much of a speller, but caught the celebrating.
I know you well enough to know I could never catch you on something like
that, but I hope we can have a good laugh.
