I was having trouble with the left rear ride height. Just before I laid the coach up for the winter, I looked at the control valve. It was just fine, but the link to the arm was about disconnected. It would sometimes catch on the extended screw.

I took that link out and the rubber bushing was gone. (Another piece of antique rudder - shot.) As I have a lathe, a box of spherical rod ends and some aluminum stock, I dug out the wrong way tap and made two new links and installed then. I haven't let Chaumière back down yet, I can't tell you how well it works, but that is not a big worry.

I was onto another project (rerouting the dump pipe) and waiting for some glue to set and I was looking at the small heap of dead link parts that landed on my saw table. I sez to me, "That bushing looks real close the same size as all that fuel line I bought." So, the spool of Gates Barrier hose got located. (In my barn, this can be a feat.) A little piece cut and with the aid of some Armor All, it and the original sleeve got stuffed into the link end. These will need some 1/4 fender washers to keep them secure as the fuel line has no shoulders.

As said, I'm not sure this is worth doing as replacement ADJUSTABLE links are readily available and would make setting the ride height much simpler (BTDT). But if you need, it looks like a pretty decent fix.
