Too bad my dog Finn was not out. You would have seen him chasing that squirrel. As far as it being cold it was around 30 today as compared to -17 a couple of days ago. It look like Spring is here. We are suppose to get 6" more snow tomorrow but the Weather Guessers are now saying it might be too warm and 1/2 of it will be rain. I would rather plow snow than plow frozen rain on Sunday. The good thing is if it rains just a little it will freeze cap the existing snow and it will not blow in the driveways again.
WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST SATURDAY...
* LIGHT TO OCCASIONALLY MODERATE SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH TONIGHT WITH ACCUMULATIONS ONE TO THREE INCHES. THE SNOW WILL MIX WITH SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN AFTER SUNRISE SATURDAY. THE PRECIPITATION WILL END BY EARLY SATURDAY EVENING.
* STORM TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION 3 TO 6 INCHES. STORM TOTAL ICE ACCUMULATION BETWEEN TWO AND FOUR TENTHS OF AN INCH POSSIBLE.

Thanks, Ken, that will help if I decide to try one. Do you know if they
time stamp the motion recordings? Probably not since it's not mentioned.
I guess remote recording software probably does though. What I need to do
is learn the hard-shelled possums' schedule. Getting up periodically
during the night hasn't worked.
In appreciation for the info, I'm not even going to mention how far into
the 60's our temp. got today. :-)

I do not have one with the SD card so I have never tried it. Since I do set the time in the camera and also have it checking once a day with an NTP server, I assume it uses that time when recording. Also you could just have it send you an email on motion. I forget but I think it also sends you a picture. Warning if you do this, it will fill your inbox just like the GMCnet email server does. There is a motion sensitivity setting that could reduce how much motion triggers it.
I just turned mine on and I'll check it in the morning to see what is received in my inbox. I do nto expect it to sennd anything until sunrise because I have the IR LEDs turned off. They were reflecting back in the window. I set it to not send more than one email per minute.

I just checked my email and the camera send me a note at 11:13 PM with a series of 6 pictures attached. There was no time stamp on the pictures but there is a time stamp on the email. I'll go look to see if there if an option to turn on the time stamp.

Armadillos? Around here the'ye called 'Possum on the half-shell'. Remember though, the armadillo is (so far) the only mammal besides us which harbors Hansen's disease. Do not handle them.

Those dang armadillos have taken over this country. Should have had the border patrol working on them 40 years ago, using Kens camera system.
I have considered a system here but one must maintain Internet. We take ours with us. Guess I could hook it onto the neighbors, since I take care of hers for her.

Handle 'em??? Heck, I can't even SEE them! The one time I did, the .410
made short work of him & the yard man wasn't about to touch the remains
when he buried it.

| They smell pretty bad, even when they are alive. Armadillo trivia: The 9-banded variety (like we have in the South) generally gives birth to IDENTICAL QUADRUPLETS.
