Those adapters by their narure of being a 1/1 transformer some of the dynamics but hey, by this t image me our ears can't hear crap anyway, the thing that makes it pop is the computer sub system.  I have an Alec system for 1 coach and a Klepsch for the other.  They really spice up a normally mid only speaker system.  I do have a dual cone 3.5 that afits, good efficient mid range.  I also have a correct 4x10 dual wizzer cone spk shallow enough to fit.  OEM style, the reinforce the mid range well.  The systen can only be as good as its weakest component.  If you relegate the weak system to mid range content, they can do that the best making the system with the sub reinforcement, the satellite speakers in my systems bring in hi freq fontent .  If you have even an RCA in on the radio, a cassette adapter will do it, you have an acoustically well balanced set up.  Be sure to run the inverter and radio off the living area batttery.  The factory yellow radio and lighter power wire is off the engine battery . Nice set ep. I just use the new "mechless" DIN style head un it.  I d ok nt care on the original cosmetics but yea, that is a desirable rig up, good job,

So I really don't like to post every little thing but this was a big project.

I installed the retrosound stereo with correct knobs and pretty close bezel.
Kept the original front speakers because anything else that small even new will sound like crap.

Used the Scosche floating ground adapter to use existing wires
and a less expensive set of pioneer 4 x 6 speakers for the rear incase a leak gets to them before I get to the leaks.

For the middle I used my Bose Subwoofer computer AV setup that has just been sitting around.

Total for a really respectable home sounding system on house power with a remote and in the dash set-up...

$208.00  thanks to the home Bose that was gathering dust.

Here is a link to the pic of the almost finished product.
