This is a link to my steering wheel web site. www.conceptsteeringwheels.com

Billy Massey put an announcement on the site for me last week concerning the last eleven steering wheels that I can make. After 10-years my inventory is about gone. When these last eleven wheels are finished there will not be any more because most of the parts are no longer made, obsolete when air bags became mandatory. As a tribute to the GMC Motorhome I am making these last eleven into what I am calling the GMC "Tribute" wheel. There are pictures of the "Tribute" wheels below the wording of the announcement on the web site. Click on the pictures to make them larger. All of this last inventory is 2-spoke, which has been the most popular model because of the view of the dash gauges it provides. For the "Tribute" wheels I am using either walnut or oak wood. The laser cut, inset emblem is black with white picture and lettering. The leather, hub and beauty ring are black. I build each wheel by hand from scratch. As of today (Sunday, January 19) I still have four whe
els that are not spoken for. Please give me a call if you are interested in one, 270-443-5263. This is my home number. We are on Central Time.

Thank you very much,

Tom, I was lucky enough to get one of your steering wheels a few years ago. It still is a work of art and many people comment on it.

Which steering wheels from which vehicles are the desired ones? With people going to men's malls for fun, more eyes to find them.

Tom,

I know I'm not quite alone in my affection for the Chevy S-10/GMC S-15
single flat spoked wheels. Wish I knew what years they're on, but I only
know that my '91 came with one and I easily found a duplicate for the GMC.
For a long time, however, it had "Chevrolet" embossed into the horn button
before I found a "GMC" replacement for that button.

I like the wheel because of its major and minor diameters, the low-mounted
single horizontal spoke, and the comfortably padded rim. Also, its ease of
mounting -- it fits the motorhome column with no changes.

Then, there's the ease of modification: Adapting it to the Grant 2000
Security System, which enables me to quickly and easily R&R the wheel, was
trivially easy because of the flat spoke. Only 6 flat-head screws secure
that spoke to the hub which fits the column. A simple 1/4" thick aluminum
disk with the wheel's hole pattern and the Grant hub's hole pattern serves
as an adapter.
