Our friends Doug and Irene pulled out yesterday from Vacaville heading to the rv Capitol of the Southwest yesterday. We have been tracking them as they travel. Doug shut her down near Yucaipa, another of our favorite winter time spots. There is now a street view available on the APRS tracking site. Of course it is not live but will let you know about the surroundings of the area.
In my opinion Southern Ca. And Arizona are hard to beat in the winter months. Teri and I hope to spend many more January s there once we recover. Just tired of not being able to participate with our friends.
The tracking website is. aprs.fi. Just fill in the party's call sign or the town you want to watch. We have trackers in all of our vehicles. Tuesday the one in our car will be on so our kids can see where we are should they be interested, as we travel to doc appt in St. Louis and back. Some use a cell phone tracker.
Anyway, let us know who is taking pictures and where they are posted. I will anxiously be awaiting. Next year we will drag Ken B back out and post lots of pictures on our blog.
Dan
Ps
Thanks for cards and emails. They just keep coming. Got 4 cards and 3 emails yesterday, friends checking on us. We feel good when the mail man runs.
