Hi you all,

Good news on the Torsion Bar front!

I got a quote originally for $ 1,045.00 per torsion bar set. The cost is now
$ 675.00 per set, plus shipping and plus sales tax for California orders
only(9.25%). The reason I got a better price was that the manufacturer found
old stock for just about 20 sets of T.B.

The torsion bars have the same configuration as the original ones, except
the diameter is 19% increased for a stronger torsion bar. The length is 58
1/8" hex, both ends 1.477", minor diameter is 1.260". The torsion bar is
powder coated-white and each T.B. is stamped, one L.H. and one R.H. There
was a question of extending the hex configuration and I did not pursue this
issue. This T.B. is like the original just 19% stronger. I personally use
this T.B. since 1992 when I redesigned it to be somewhat stronger passing on
at least 15 sets to GMC enthusiasts at that time. My front end is always up
to specification.

I will order the 15 sets of T.B. only if I get at least 10 (ten) solid
commitments of purchase. In order to proceed with this Torsion Bar project
you need to contact me directly again with your commitment. It should reach
me no later than January 10th, 2014. On January 11th I will announce and
inform you if I got at least ten order commitments. If that is the case I
will ask you to forward your payment of $ 675.00 for each T.B. set. Keep in
mind it will take 7-9 week from January 11th, 2014 until you get your T.B.
set(s). The production takes 6-7 weeks from the day of order. Any shipping
charges or sales taxes I will bill you directly. If some of you live close
to my place you could pick up your T.B.

Best Regards

Peter D. Huber

Peter, sign me up for a set. Let us know where to send the check. I will
pick them up from you the next time I am in California. This coming spring
or when we come back through there on the way home from the Route 66
rolling rally.
