I just managed to pick up a pair of torsion bars from a 1979 33' slant nose Revcon. They look to be the same dimensions length and hex ends as the GMC except for the diameter. It looks like they are about 1.38"in diameter. I've tried to find the specs on them but haven't had much luck. The Revcon people have nothing that compares with this GMC site/knowledge base. I think with the extra weight of the 4L80e and 6.5 TD engine and Dana 70, I'm guessing an additional 400 lbs or so, these bars might just do the job.
Along with the Revcon transfer case and front differential(if used), I hope my 77 Royale will still be considered a GMC, LOL.
