The new standard exaust pipes are hard to clamp  enough to stop leaks. All the joints on my 3" pipe leak moisture and even though I
use flex pipe to duck the exaust outside in the winter when my shop is closed up, my carbon manoxide alarm eventually goes off. Not good. In the past I have welded the connections on old car exaust systems as muffler shops do now.
Any opinions on how to deal with this issue? What about welding?
Thanks for all your inputs on the propane issue. The problem is solved.

Are you using the U shaped muffler clamps or the wider clamps that encircle the pipe completely (like JimK uses in his systems). They're not cheap, but work great at sealing the joints.

I used a putty material designed for exhaust pipes. muffler mend or something to that effect. I filled crack, clamped, then ran motor to heat up and cure product per instructions on package.
JWID, worked for me

I think the heavy putty is more of a patch. There is a paint on sealant that goes on all the pipe joints (almost like if you were doing PVC) then clamped and is heat cured at startup.

I'd try the band clamps.

Are you using band clamps. I put some Copper RTV around the seams under the bands. That seems to hold well and seals the leaks.

Anyone have picture(s) and part number of the clamps like what JimK uses?

Still hoping and more importantly praying to be able to build a garage.

They are a common part at auto parts stores. They are called "band clamps".

Those are band clamps for butt joints. If you have lap joints (one pipe fits inside an expanded section on the next) you need a lap band clamp like this:

Thank you.

Our 455 has exhaust leaks and it is under the bed in the back of UV520.

Also I'm close to purchasing a 73 GMC (for parts for UV520) and a 76 Eleganza to use.

Yes, welding is the key, I have never seen a clamped system not leak.  Clamp together systems are good if you do not have any local welders willing to do the work but I would install the system then when you can find someone who can, have the whole thing welded together.  I feel that should always be SOP.
