Chris covered the subject well. The last oil that had the higher zinc for gas/ labeled as SL was last made in 2006 I believe. Oils labeled as SM, SN, and SO. These last ones have reduced zinc. I just ordered a 55 gallon drum of oil from a manufacture that meet the SL/ C rating. It's rated for S ( spark ) or C ( Compression, Diesel ). I use it in every thing I have.
