Just wanted to post this link.
It appears that there is some concern in some quarters with 455 engines retaining oil up in the upper parts of the engines with sustained high rpm use. Like "super" (second) gear operation going up mountains. The scenario is that the oil pressure suddenly goes to zero, lifter noise becomes evident, then if the engine does not get relief, bearings go out.
Is this something that can happen with GMC Motorhome engines? Is it worthwhile to chamfer oil drainback holes, etc?
