Automatic Tranny Trackers need to be 4 wheel drive, because you have to
put the transfer case in neutral and the tranny lever in park.
1999 and up are easier riding. The older Trackers and the Suzuki
Sidekick are true off road 4wd vehicles. Hard-sprung, and ride like a
truck. Suzuki Vitara and the newer Trackers are much easier on your body.
Honda CRV is nice too. All of the above are towable 4 down. All 4
wheels on the ground.
RonC
PS There are others that tow 4 down. Check Motorhome magazine at the
library, or go to:
http://www.motorhome.com/download-dinghy-guides/
for more information.
