Good point, Jim. I do away with the rubber rear "seal" and use foam/foil tape designed for sealing up duct work properly. Once the bulb is in place I run one piece around the round part on the rear of the housing and fold it toward the center. Then five pieces criss cross the back sealing the H4 bulb to the rear of the housing. Have not found any water intrusion using this method.

Been using HID, new style baskets and all that here lately-- found a problem.? The way the air flow is on the front of our coaches, if there is any air opening in the back of the new basket, water will just pour in, blow up the bulb and fill up the lens.? These Chinese retrofit kits are leaking air-- bad Juju.? Even bought a pretty pricy one, it leaks and blew the bulb.? Be sure the bulb element is really sealed in there good
?
