I'm starting to look at coaches and I have been told some have new or newer appliances in them. However, no receipts are available to back that up.

So how can you find out how old a refridgerator, stove/oven and roof AC unit are in a coach?

Marie and I are blessed to have had a 2nd chance to buy our farm.
Still hoping and more importantly praying to be able to build a garage.

Tony,

The stove, no bets, but the other two are required to have a build date on the identification tag. That's actually the bad news....

The tag is seldom visible with the unit installed. Some times the A/C can be seen it the inside cover is removed and if it is old enough to have an access door for the reefer (most '78s don't), you can sometimes see it on the back.

Matt, that is what I thought.

They think they are 5 years or less in age.
They want more for the coach becasue it has newer stuff. (or so they say) However, they can not prove that to me. ggg

Dometic A/C's have a build date somewhere inside on the metal body. You would have to remove either the top cover or the interior vent cover to find it.
Good luck.

Tony,

¿They want more because "They Think" these things are newer but can't provide invoices?

¿¿Would you like to buy some vacation land in Florida - it's high and dry and never been leveled by a hurricane??

First advice, get the VIN and call John Shotwell and ask if the registry knows about them.
Next, come back here with the name of the current owner and ask. He may be completely legitimate, just not very good at keeping records.

Keep the hunt going. If you can provide a location, there might be someone on the Black (aka GMC assist) list that could give it a look before you have to bother clearing customs.

Speaking of.. If you might come through Detroit, you have some local help in striking range.

Matt

Matt,

I love to have some "good" FL property.
I'm so looking forward, in near future winters, to leaving ON.
Heck I never used my VA - house benefits - which I think are still availalbe to me. At least they were about 6 years ago or so.

Marie is from Ottawa and I'm a US citizen.
I served in the Army..
Marie twisted my arm and got me to move up to the cold white north. Or as I like to say.

Birds are smarter than I. At least they go south for the winter. I moved up north for good. Ha ha ha - or Eh lol
