I ordered 10 RJ45 adapters for a total cost of $6.12 including shipping from Mainland China. The USPS mail lady just knocked on my door with them a few minutes ago. They arrived by registered mail today exactly 6 calendar days later. I had to sign for them.
How is it that I can order something out of China have it flown halfway around the world, go through customs, and still get here quicker and cheaper than a UPS package from California?
BTW, the USPS tracking has greatly improved. I can now see every arrival and departure scan along the way just like UPS or Fed-EX and they will now email you on every update. I also used the same tracking number assigned by the origination foreign post office (China Post) when looking at the USPS tracking. I have another package coming out of Singapore that I'm tracking. We will see how it does.
See the government can do some things right. It just takes years for them to learn from others in the business how to do it right.
