I did order mine from Amazon with free shipping. I'm not sure why that doesn't show as an additional option on the page. I changed the link in my original post to the Amazon one.

I like it mainly because of the size. It stores easily in the coach.

>plastic
To use plastic, these heaters seem to rely more on clixons, thermal fuses, and anti-tipping sensors than common sense. I bought one of these but it'll be salted away for use as a last resort.
For aux heat in the Royale, I have one old Intertherm, liquid-filled, 120v kickspace heater that I hope to work in under one of the rear twins. These are no longer made but are the safest, lowest surface temp heaters out there. We used to demo them by stuffing them with kleenex. (You can still get the baseboard, it's marketed as Softheat., but I can't find a source for the liquid filled kickspace units.)

I like the small size of the one you got and the metal case. I've been using the Duraflame electric fireplace/woodstove in our coach to ward off the chill. Put it under the dinette table and it's out of the way and the heat doesn't go straight up to the ceiling. The body of it is plastic, but that part doesn't get hot at all. I got a second one that is similar from Tru Value yesterday that only $59 and the heater and fan are enclosed in metal, and it also has a high and low heat setting, but doesn't have a thermostat like the Duraflame. I think the Duraflame heater is enclosed in a metal housing too. The Duraflame one was $69 last year at Northern Tool. Both of them are light enough to not accost the RV in gas mileage. The larger Duraflame model is all metal and really weighs a lot...and costs twice as much. The Duraflame model is at Roses or Maxway right now for $75. Both of these cost more, but they're pretty and add to the decor.

This is my design that has been used in boats, rv, rooms. Works great. Only works with 110 volt although.
this heater:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/271271949774
with this fan behind it:
http://www.fantasticvent.com/products/endless_breeze/endless_breeze.html
these two together will solve with great safe heat. The fan is also great for comprehensive fan for cooling
and 12 volt as well as 110 volt. The heater with the fan blowing through the fins works great for a rather large area with the fan
most people do not use the fan design and lose the real working heater effect that the fan produces.
Adding hot water storage to it:
http://www.amazon.com/Excelsteel-Quart-Stainless-Stockpot-Encapsulated/dp/B0030T1KR0/ref=pd_sim_hg_4
If you really want to put some real punch into it, put a 16 Quart stainless steelpot on top and attach with bungee cords balanced on
top of the finned heater, this is only for stopped and not moving of course. This adds a great deal of hot water in the pot on top
of the finned heater and the fan blowing a few inches from the fins through the fins makes for a very cheap and hot design.
This design will heat almost any rv for a really great safe design and the warm water is always good to dip into for
cleaning dishes etc. and then replace. It also makes for the air not being so dry in the rv. It is the most comfortable i have found for
a stopped boat or rv, or small living area. a metal top would be better than glass but this is a picture i found.
the heater is about 39 dollars, the pot is about $39 dollars, the fan has gone up but is really good for heat or cooling and is both 12
and 110 volts that is great for the rv, it is about $70 but i have seen it for around $59. I like this design. the finned heater and fan
would fit under the table, but to put the water on the top it would need to be out in the open to fit on the top. the pot can be dipped into
with a hot water bottle for the bed as well.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_water_bottle
Using hot water bottles is NOT outdated at all. In fact many people still use them in their homes and a lot!
All you need to do is boil the kettle with just a small amount of water and pour into the hot water bottle! Eventually it goes cold so can be left in your bed without using up the elec or putting yourself in danger of stating fires.
Yes there are newer heating pads with less dangers but nothing beats a good old hot water bottle which doesn't need as much electricity!

I picked up the oil filled radiator at Tractor Supply last week for $25. Got it in the back next to the water tank. Cord just reaches the ceiling outlet. Keeps the RV warm enough in this area (Tidewater) on the low setting and uses less power than the electric fireplace/woodstove. The low setting is 400 watts, the next is 900, and both together will suck up 1300. And there are no moving parts to wear out or stop functioning when I'm not around. I've had one in the boat for years down in the bilge next to the heat exchanger that is full of seawater even though the boat is on a trailer. I also use one in the basement with the fan blowing through it to dry the floor when we get too much rain and it manages to get inside. Very effective and very safe.

>i am not sure but i think it works on its side
That comment and your design put me on a quest, Mickey. I found a 700w mini oil-filled radiator that does not have an anti-tipping switch and fires up just fine when placed horizontally. I've paired that with a 120v, variable speed squirrelcage blower unit. And if someone wants a digital thermostat, there's a plug-in for that as well.
heater: $43.49

blower: $39.59

tstat: $37.28
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000E7NYY8/
I'll play around with a heatsink cabinet of some sort (probably leftover solid surface countertop) but, as-is, this one won't scald anyone who happens to brush against it.

Terry, Beware of oil filled radiators. I bought one a few years ago to keep my truck mount pressure washer from freezing. It worked well for a about a month, then I came out one chilly morning to learn that it quit working in the middle of the night. The next thing I learned is that it costs about $500.00 dollars to repair carpet cleaning equipment that freezes. I don't know for sure how they work, but I do know without a doubt that there is something in there that can wear out and quit working.

Yeah, I wouldn't trust one for serious duty. Longevity wasn't listed as a feature anywhere in the reviews on Amazon.
