For my complete rebuild of the plumbing I wanted to use PEX. It is undoubtedly the best choice but is not very flexible and the spaces are very very tight.
So I chose braided plastic and used screw clamps. The idea of using these clamps did not excite me so I made sure that every joint was accessible for future observation and tightening (if necessary) The other concept was to do "home run" plumbing. To do this I used 2 copper manifolds one for hot water and one for cold. Each fixture has a single braided plastic line from the requisite manifold. No joins or add on connections,
