I have gone all electric, no propane at all and I love it. I have
a 110v Frigidaire and I've run it and a 24 TV and micro wave
for 4 days with out charging and my battery's ( 4 -105 Trojan's)
were still showing about half full. The fridge is a 4.4cu ft. but has
more than enough room for a week long stay. The fridge is Energy
Star rated and cost $180. at Lowe's with a built in lock and my ice
cream is always frozen, perfect

see this is what drives me crazy about the fridge problem, 4 days is a lot. LPG goes how long? mick anaheim ca 77 palm beach

lpg is dangerous yes, but not if designed with integrity, it also does big boy heater, and instant hot water with very little cost for a month is this right with one bath a day using the same tank that came with the gmc. as well as a small amount of heater for 1 hour or two a night???

Mick,

I always fill my LP tank up right before my annual Thanksgiving Weekend trip to the sand dunes. Since last year, I had the fridge running on propane a total of only about 10 or 12 days. We seldom turn on the furnace, so the rest of our propane use is the stove. I'm guessing we used the coach a total of about 45 days last year, mostly three day weekends, but also a couple of week long plus trips. This year when I had the tank filled, it only took three gallons of propane. The propane fridge sips gas.

LPG is hard tp beat when it comes down to cost and energy. In my case, I was tired of the experiences I had with LPG refigerators and the cost and selection available. For me the electric route works fine. I'm sure we could have a firestorm of objections and differing opinions, but like I said it works for me.

I fille my (smaller than yours) tank last Januray. Fridge ran at Noccolula, five show weekends and about 4K miles. I'm just under half a tank. 10Gal tank, and Norcold 3-way. Doesn't use near soo much and the furnace.
