I have stared at these accessories from above and from below. I can not see
how the PS and AC are loosened so that the new belt can be snugged down.
The weather is about to get bad, down in the 50s and wet for the rest of
next week (yes, to a warmblooded southern boy like me, I start getting
hypothermic at those temps).
From below there's no obvious bolts in a sliding channel. From above,
there's too much CRAP in the way. Belts, hoses, other parts.
I tried reading the Maintenance Manual, but it's not helpful. It didn't
tell me what to do to loosen these things, no doubt expecting a bit more
mechanical literacy on my part.
I'll take some video tomorrow and show y'all what I'm dealing with... it's
too dark now and I'm tired and frustrated.

Robin, If your belts are worn out, use a pair of rose pruners and cut them.
Much faster, less grief, and there is no chance that you will try to use
them again. On the A/C pump, there are three or more fasteners that must be
loosened to adjust it. 1 LONG bolt that is threaded into the mounting
bracket on the head. 1 bolt and nut on the back end of the compressor kinda
mirrored to the long bolt. The 3rd bolt is best reached from underneath the
coach. This one goes through the front mounting plate on the compressor and
is the one with the curved slot for adjustment. Some compressors also are
fitted with a 4th bolt on the rear of the compressor in about the 5 o'clock
position. It bolts a tubular bracket to the header bolt on the passenger
side rear. When they are all sufficiently loose, the compressor will move
in an arc that will tighten the belt.
There is one hidden bolt on the power steering pump that is accessed
through a hole in the pulley. Kinda hard to see, but it is there. The other
2 bolts are in plain sight.

Robin, like Jim H stated. My AC has the 3. Rear from hatch and front from hatch and below. About 1 turn past contact should be free. I don't cut the old belts at first as yanking on them will help move the driven device. When tightening the PS get it as tight as you can and then tighten the alt. A giant Channelock handle was a good tool to wedge the AC from topside using the hatch surround to wedge against. Then go below with ratchet and snug the slider one and then the pivots. It's a fast job once you learn it. I don't have the screw tensioners yet.

Often the power steering pump has a bolt that is easily accessed through a hole in the pulley once you line things up properly. As someone else posted, cut the old belt off. Then since the pulley turns freely with the belt gone, line one of the holes in the pulley up with the bolt and loosen it. Move the pump in, install the belt, make sure the bolt and hole are lined up, and pry against the body of the pump with a board to snug it up. Then tighten the bolt.

Robin,
MM X-7525 Pages 6K-9 through 6K-11 have instructions and line drawings showing all the bolts that are used to attach and adjust the
power steering pump, alternator, and A/C compressor.
MM X-7725 Pages 6K-3 through 6K-6 have more instructions and line drawings showing all the bolts that are used to attach and adjust
the power steering pump, alternator, and A/C compressor.
Sorry to be blunt, if you can't figger it out from those instructions and line drawings I suggest you contact your mobile mechanic
and have him come by and show you how to do it.

I have stared at these accessories from above and from below. I can not see
how the PS and AC are loosened so that the new belt can be snugged down.
The weather is about to get bad, down in the 50s and wet for the rest of
next week (yes, to a warmblooded southern boy like me, I start getting
hypothermic at those temps).
From below there's no obvious bolts in a sliding channel. From above,
there's too much CRAP in the way. Belts, hoses, other parts.
I tried reading the Maintenance Manual, but it's not helpful. It didn't
tell me what to do to loosen these things, no doubt expecting a bit more
mechanical literacy on my part.
I'll take some video tomorrow and show y'all what I'm dealing with... it's
too dark now and I'm tired and frustrated.

Doesn't the Air Conditioning Compressor or the PS Pump have a 1/2" square hole that a ratchet or breaker bar can insert into to aid in tensioning? I remember this from somewhere…

Rob is right. With the drawings that Larry provided, that should be all I
need. If I can't get it done now that I know how this thing is put
together, i should just hang it up.
Larry, I'd be keenly interested in such a breaker bar mounting point to
tension things! That sounds super handy!

Make sure that you do NOT pry against the sheet metal tank of the power steering pump. Good luck finding another one if you do.
