I read the manual, but it doesn't really say. I need to change these belts.

I didn't need to. There's plenty of room if all you are doing is the belts.

Pretty easy to change belts from top and bottom. I didn't remove for that job either.

I recently changed mine from the top.

If you get yourself a piece of 2x6 or similar wood and cut it fit across the engine bay and fit it into the lid track, you can lay face-down and work away.

It's a bit tight on the right side getting your arm between the floor and the valve cover, but if I can do it with my gorilla arms [and polar bear belly!] most guys should be able to pull it off.

That being said, pulling the well isn't all that hard.

I find that removing the inner fenders opens up a whole new world of access, especially on the passenger side. Really easy to remove too, unless the screws are rusted to the clipnuts. A 1/4 drive impact wrench will usually loosen them up without breaking the plastic liner if they are stuck. I get mine out in 3 minutes or less. Remove the screws, push the liner in past the fender lip, and then roll them out right over the tire. Beware, you may find some other things that need attention when they are removed!
