Harry,

From your post format, it looks like you are working the forum. The mail readers cannot see your location. It is also a great value to those that might offer assistance if you build a sigfile that includes you name, the coach model and important mods and a geographic reference.

Works great especially on the dodge rims that offset them out to just about match the rears. Just make sure front wheel bearings are in good shape, remember if you don't have proof of who and when they were done they weren't done. You will also have to put up with some extra noise on some pavements some you can't hear them at all. Just my 2 bits.

That is a goodone to use as long as the tread design noise not so important.
It should not be a concern.
Make sure it has a load range E rating.

I have BFG All Terrain KO tires on the front end of my coach. They are 255/70R16 mounted on 16" X 8" Dodge truck rims:

I like them just fine except for the poor wear I am getting out of them. I have almost worn them out in less than four years with less than 15,000 miles on them. I suspect that the main factors are the fact that they are the drive wheels, the steering wheels, the weight, and the limited slip differential. I am disappointed with the wear , but it is nice and even across the tread, indicating proper inflation and alignment. I have had great luck with these tires (in a 31/10.50R15" size) on my Cherokee, but not on the much heavier GMC. I really like the size and will be looking for another brand/type of tire to replace these with.

Bottom line - I think the All Season would be a better choice for wear.

You didn't specify what load range your BFG AT KOs are. Apparently ( i recall reading it somewhere on BFGs website) the LR E version of this tire has a different rubber compound and gets much better life out of the tread. Do a google search and you should find several forum discussions on BFG allterrain KO tire wear.

If your 255/70-16 tires are LR D, it might explain the poor wear you have experienced.

Thanks for the info, Les. That may be the problem. The BFG All Terrains in that size are only available in load range D. I either need to change to a different size tire, like maybe a 245/75, or a different brand. The problem is that no other 255/70s are available in a LT size. Goodyear makes a 255/70 in an extra load P-series that will handle 2400+ pounds at 50 psi that would probably work fine, since there is "only" about 2,000 lbs per front tire (weighed at the Pueblo GMCMI).
