A few years ago my original fan clutch failed within minutes with no warning in the mountains. As others have evaluated, it is almost impossible to find a good replacement. Yes, you can luck out and get a good one but it is a total crap shoot. Within one part number, the Chinese replacements vary all over the map regardless or the ratings. A year ago one of our netters found a few OEM Delco units on line and I finally installed it today. I had forgotten how a good fan clutch can operate. It has a perfect ramp up at the right temp and and so far doesn't suffer from morning sickness (even though that's a minor issue)
