Is just the dome worth $150? Is this system obsolete?

At retail, absolutely!

This dome assembly appears to be complete. I've asked for a price including the controller and power supply. From what I can find online, these KHV's lock in pretty well on DirecTV but have problems with Dish. I don't have either service, currently, but had fixed-point DirecTV in the past and it was OK except in heavy rain.

G'day,

If you're looking for a good deal for satellite TV in your GMC check this out:

http://www.motorhome.com/rv-reviews/dish-tailgater-makes-satellite-tv-portable/

http://www.dish.com/technology/tv-outdoors/

I got an offer from Good Sam and Dish that was for $459 all up earlier this year and I subscribed for the basic service which was
$69 per month tax included. I will shut it off when I leave the USA in a couple of weeks.

The satellite dish is fully automatic, it finds the satellites on it's own; the only requirement is that you need to have a clear
view of the southern sky.

Regards,
Rob M.
