The truth as you see it. Not the truth for everyone. Where was your lord while the shooting was going on? As an atheist, I find your posts offensive, and would rather you kept them to yourself or expressed them in an appropriate forum.

An assault rifle is a selective fire (selective between semi-automatic, automatic and/or burst fire) rifle that uses an intermediate cartridge and a detachable magazine.[1] Assault rifles are the standard service rifles in most modern armies. Note the difference between the assault rifle and the battle rifle. Assault rifles use smaller cartridges and are used at closer ranges than battle rifles.

And assault rifles have not been legal to manufacture for civilian sale since 1986.

An AR-15, or AK-47 imported legally, are not assault rifles no matter how many news programs call them such.

And none of this discussion belongs here.

David,

Since you got offended by Howard I thought I'd check with you to find out if you take offence at the non-atheists when we send our
love and prayers out to members of the GMCnet that are ill?

Guys like Dan Gregg (who has liver cancer) or Chuck Boyd (had a heart attack and a large aneurism) or would you prefer we stop doing
because it offends you?

I really don't care what you do on your own time. I just don't think it belongs in this forum. I'm not going to make a big deal out of it, and I certainly don't think wishing someone a speedy recovery is an issue.

David, you are perfectly free to hold to your atheist position.

So far, Obama and his fellow muslims have not yet been able to make their religious faith mandatory to avoid death at their hands for being an "infidel."

Your apparent idea that you have some right to not be offended by others is patently offensive in itself.

You and all of us in the USA still mostly have the right to speak our opinions.

There is nothing in THAT right that conveys a concurrent right to be taken seriously.

Should a gay muslim male have to wear a head dress, veil ? (''Hijab'') while in a gmc motor home. joke.

I went to the airport and got in to terminal 1 just now got back, thousands there standing
needing a ride. I took family of 6 and two business men to disneyland hotels. Transportation was shut down for the whole airport.
This leaves everyone doing nothing but waiting for no reason. crazy not to let those that were not involved out
and commercial vehicles in to get them off the crime site.

I am offended that every thing one says or does in America now offends someone.

PERHAPS WE SHOULD ALL STAY IN OUR CUBBY HOLE AND NOT COMMUNICATE LIKE IN THE BOOK 1984.

Some of the problem is, in my opinion, a direct result of the ability to
freely and somewhat anonymously through the internet, communicate with
others in the world. We now have the ability to speak without consideration
of other peoples belief systems or opinions. I am as much or more guilty
than many others in this respect. In the small logging town where I grew up
and went to school, nearly everyone who lived there shared a similar
viewpoint with regards to life in general. The opinion generally was that
The MALE head of household was the primary breadwinner, HIS job was to
bring money home to support the household. If one job wouldn't do it, he
frequently worked another. He didn't cook, or clean, do housework, laundry
or change diapers. That was clearly work for the FEMALE head of household.
Ahhh, that was the way it was then. But, as the folk song says, "Times,
they are a'changing. Talk about a paradigm shift. Is it different in New
Hampshire, or Beirut, or wherever YOU ARE?
Maybe so, maybe so. Food for thought anyway.

started by mentioning a GMC but....

So no... it isn't. Being off-topic has been de rigueur for the 10 years
I've been here.
